Jesus is Risen

Today is Easter Sunday. You are probably with family relaxing after a big meal or preparing a big meal. Instead of doing my regular post, I thought some of you might need reminding about what Easter is really about. It is not about the eggs, or the food, or the bunnies. Easter is about celebrated that Jesus is risen! Nothing else matters. Throughout Easter and Christmas we seem to forget the central part of the celebration, Jesus. Here are a few verses to help you remember who died for you and how wonderful He is.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he many die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?          John 11:25-26

But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.       Romans 5:8

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.     Romans 8:1-4

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.    John 3:16

Happy Resurrection Day everybody!
