Love Is: Part 3

…does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.                                                         1 Corinthians 13:6-7

Week three of the ‘Love Is’ series and I hope you have been enjoying. This week is on 1st Corinthians 13:6-7. Love does not rejoice in sin but in truth. Also love will deal with the object of their love without complaining. Love believes in the object of that love. Love has hope and endures through hard times using that hope.

Love does not rejoice in sin, love rejoices in truth. Love is not going to be happy when the object of that love sins, goes against God’s law. If you love someone, then you do not want them to go the wrong way in life, you want them to do well in life. You want the object of your love to not go to jail or live with the consequences of sin; you want them to live a happy life doing God’s will. Love does not rejoice when someone sins, love rejoices when someone does something good.

Love bears all things. This means that love will still be there even when the object of that love is being stupid or mean. Sometimes friends will be mean and annoying, but you should still love them. Love will last even when the object of that love is not showing love. This goes back to the fact that love is not provoked. As I said last week, ‘No matter what the object of your love does, you will still love them.

Love will always believe in the object of that love. My parents love me and they believe in me. I have a dream to become a recording artist. My parents believe that if I set my mind on that, then it will happen. Love is always going to believe in that person, that they are going to do what they dream to do. If you love a person, you are going to believe in them and their abilities.

Love hopes and endures all things. These go together because you cannot endure something without hope. You must have hope that the object of your love can do anything. You must have hope to help that person do anything and endure it with them. I have hope that my BFF will become an actress and I will help her endure the hardships to get to that point in her life.

Love does not rejoice in sin, it rejoices in truth. Love will put up with something if they love that person. Also love will always believe in the object of that love. Finally love has hope that the object of that love can accomplish something and will endure hardships with them. Love is demanding, but love is the most important thing in our life.
