Many Christians, unfortunately, do not believe in the tribulation, though when we read the Bible carefully it is easy to see that the tribulation will occur. There are many references in the Bible that talk about when God’s wrath will be poured out on the earth. Several passages that talk of the tribulation are Daniel 12, Mark 13, and Revelation 16.
The book of Revelation is a key place to find information about the tribulation. Revelation 16 talks about when God will have the seven bowls of His wrath poured out onto the earth. In earlier passages from Revelation, the Bible talks about the mark of the beast. In Revelation 16 God’s wrath is poured out on the people who take this mark. This is what causes the tribulation because the people who take the mark of the beast will be put through great trial because of their sin.
Mark 13:19 says, ‘For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be.’ This passage is a direct reference to the tribulation said by Jesus Himself. Jesus points to the fact that in the last days there will be a great tribulation, one that will be worse than any that has ever happened or ever will happen.
The first verse of Daniel 12, there is again, a reference to the tribulation. ‘And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time.’ This passage is very similar to what Jesus says in Mark 13. Again, we are told that in the end times there will be a great tribulation. There are many passages in the Bible that also say the same thing.
As we get closer to the tribulation, the end times, we must look to the Bible to tell us what to do. Mark 13:7 says, ‘But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.’ This verse tells us to not be afraid during the tribulation, but to stand firm; God will protect us until the end comes.
There are many verses in the Bible that can tell us plenty about the end times. We know that, according to Jesus, who does not lie, that the tribulation will occur, but we must stand strong during these difficult times. The end is near, but whether we get raptured before or must struggle through the tribulation, God will take care of us.
