Just Ask

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” (Philippians 4:13). This is a very common verse in the Christian community, but do we ever really think about what Paul is trying to tell us? Paul wants us to know that through everything God is always there. He is also telling us that Jesus is strong enough to do anything. Paul is letting us know that Jesus will give us His strength if we only ask.

The Psalmist says, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me,” (Psalms 23:4). David is letting us know that God is always there for us no matter what. He is omnipresent. If you are in a valley or on a mountain God will be there taking care of you. You never have to fear anyone or anything.

Jesus is strong enough to do anything. Have you ever heard the song about God having the whole world in His hands? That proves that Jesus is strong. Jesus conquered death, hell, and the grave. Surely, He can help us conquer whatever life throws at us. We already know God is always with us. Since He is, He will give us the strength to do everything that is for His glory.

All we have to do is ask and Jesus will give us the strength we need. John 14:13 says, “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” God will give us strength to do whatever we need to do, all we have to do is ask in Jesus’ name. Anytime you are down in the dumps, just ask Jesus for strength and you will receive. God loves you and He wants you to be strong through His Son.

Jesus is so strong He can do anything and we can have that strength. Just ask God in Jesus’ name and you can have the strength of Him with you. Jesus is already there, just ask.
